The crossfade length adapts automatically based on the music. The app analyses the outgoing track's outro and the incoming track's intro to pick a blend that sounds natural. No manual adjustment required.

My Personal DJ runs audio analysis once when tracks are first scanned - after that, playback uses close to 0% CPU on a typical Windows PC (verified in Task Manager). Pre-loading the next track adds minimal extra processing and should not affect performance on any modern Windows PC.
